Work advances from durable state—not reminders.
This is the operating surface for Brad and Sterling: current commitments, exact blockers, communication protocols, execution controls, and the evidence required to call work complete. It works in desktop and mobile browsers.
What is open—and why it is not moving yet
The cards below are a sanitized browser view of the durable Kanban board. A waiting or approval-gated card does not stop unrelated authorized work.
Speak naturally. These phrases make routing faster.
You do not need to become a project manager or write software-style instructions. Sterling owns decomposition, checkpointing, resumption, verification, and status accuracy.
URGENTInterrupt and expedite
Checkpoint the current primary task, use the one expedite slot, finish or block the urgent item, then restore the interrupted work.
CONTEXTAttach information without creating work
Add this information to the relevant initiative. Do not assume it authorizes research, sending, publishing, or a new task.
QUEUECapture without interrupting
Create or update a queued commitment with its intended outcome and first action. Keep current execution moving.
CANCELTerminate explicitly
Stop the named task, preserve final proof and side-effect history, and prevent automatic revival.
SUPERSEDEReplace earlier direction
Mark the older instruction or artifact as replaced and use the new source without confusing both versions.
HOLDPause without losing progress
Write a recovery packet, move the task out of Active, and retain its exact resume action.
APPROVEDAuthorize the exact bounded action
Approval binds to the artifact, target, account, audience, and action under discussion. It does not silently authorize adjacent sends, spending, credentials, or public actions.
NATURAL LANGUAGEStill the default
Voice notes, rapid ideas, incomplete thoughts, and changing priorities are expected. Sterling should translate them into durable, bounded work—not require formal syntax.
What Brad should not have to manage
Sterling handles automatically
- Resume interrupted work after the urgent lane closes
- Carry unresolved state through context compaction
- Separate local, verified, deployed, activated, and accepted
- Record approvals and preserve their exact boundaries
- Turn broad vision into bounded tasks and acceptance evidence
- Verify external actions through provider readback
- Keep blocked projects from stopping unrelated work
- Retire stale, canceled, or superseded commitments
Brad remains the decision owner
- Business direction and priority changes
- Public posting, external messages, spending, and customer-data actions
- Credential/account changes and irreversible mutations
- Final product-direction acceptance after technical proof passes
- Clarifying an identity, relationship, or intent that cannot be recovered safely
- Choosing among meaningful trade-offs—not fixing objective technical defects
How work moves without reminder loops
The conversation is temporary reasoning space. The board, artifacts, events, approvals, and provider receipts retain operational truth.
Classify as urgent, context, queued work, cancellation, supersession, hold, or approval. Apply an idempotency key.
Record outcome, Definition of Done, dependencies, authority, current proof, exact next action, and blocker owner.
The gateway dispatcher selects ready, dependency-safe work. No recurring LLM asks itself whether work exists.
One bounded objective, artifact, verification command, turn/tool/retry budget, and idempotency rules.
Artifact plus tests or external receipt/readback. Agent narration alone cannot mark completion.
Blocked approvals remain isolated. No-change observer runs stay silent. Repeated no-progress actions trip a circuit breaker.
What is operational now
Monitoring and execution are reported separately so a healthy checker cannot be mistaken for project progress.
